If you don't know about Bill Hicks, he was a wildly controversial comic who died in 1994 at the age of 32 from pancreatic cancer. Five months before his death, he taped a routine for the then-newish Late Show With David Letterman. Unfortunately, the routine was considered way too hot to broadcast. Now, we're anti-censorship, but if you see the routine, you'll immediately see why - it's all stuff you can't talk about on broadcast television. Still, this Friday, nearly 15 years after Hicks' death, David Letterman will have Bill's mother on to talk about her son's legacy - and, amazingly, will air the censored performance.
