Today in Q&A: "24" First Daughter Sprague Grayden

Posted by Lindy Parker

Are we the only ones who think 24's Sprague Grayden looks like a mini Robin Tunney...

Right?  When we first saw Sprague Grayden on 24, for a second we were like, "Why is Robin Tunney playing the first daughter? She's already on a hit show, on a different network..."  Then we figured it out and felt silly.  In the spirit of avoiding future confusion, we've decided to get to know Miss Grayden a bit better...

TVGuide.com: Did 24 present you with any "firsts" as an actress?
Grayden: Totally. For one, I was a guest star, so you usually get a chair that says "CAST" on it. But when I get there, all of a sudden I see a chair with my name on it! I said to a producer, "That's so nice, thank you!" He's like, "Well, we like to treat you well here on 24, because you never know when you're going to get a bullet in the head."

TVGuide.com: Carlos Bernard has teased that Tony has an interesting romance somewhere along the way. I can see Tony maybe saving the first daughter from something or another, and then there's a heated clinch....
Grayden: Well, he is kind of dreamy. (TV Guide)

How true.  Carlos Bernard is kind of dreamy! Thanks for noticing, Sprague Grayden.  We feel like, now that we've figured out who you are, we're going to get along just fine.

About Lindy Parker

Lindy Parker has worked as a ghostwriter, editor, dance instructor and a purveyor of dreams, one beer at a time. She now writes for hooksexup.com's TV blog, "The Remote Island." She loves Charles Dickens and Gabriel Garcia Marquez and also, straight-to-video releases with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It's possible she reads more teen fiction than she should. She hails from Los Angeles, her hometown and soul mate, but she lives in Brooklyn, the fling she'll never forget.

Olivia Purnell left Ohio for sunny Los Angeles; then found that she couldn’t ignore New York City’s call, and brought herself to Brooklyn where she has worked with GenArt, BlackBook, the School of American Ballet, and finished an M.A. in Creative Writing from N.Y.U. She loves one-liners with sting and hates the stench of the subway in the summer. That said, she can’t get enough of either.
