She's really good. Are we being tricked into watching this show again? Don't screw with us, Showtime. Here's how JJ Leigh (we like that, 'cause it rhymes) will be used on Weeds (spoiler alert):
Jennifer Jason Leigh will play Mary-Louise Parker's estranged older sister on Showtime's comedy series "Weeds." The recurring role calls for Leigh to appear in at least two episodes of the series, which was picked up last year for Seasons 5 and 6.
As Nancy (Parker) finds herself and her family in harm's way, she sends her brother-in-law, Andy (Justin Kirk), to take her son, Shane (Alexander Gould), to live with her estranged older sister, Jill (Leigh).
But when Jill gets fed up with her own suburban family, she finds her way back into Nancy's life -- jealous, frustrated and intent on finally hashing things out with her little sister.
Fifth season, new sister appears. Not a good sign. Jennifer Jason Leigh and Mary-Louise Parker may be, no exaggeration, two of the best actresses alive. They're just enormous talents, and now they'll both be on this over the top mess of a show.Could this show possibly make a real comeback? Does that happen, when a good show has fallen this far?
