Miss California Carrie Prejean Appears In New Anti-Gay Marriage Ad [VIDEO]

Posted by Jake Kalish

Well, she's certainly not backing down, is she? The commercial's from some people called the National Organization For Marriage, and features Miss California's now-famous "no offense" response to Perez Hilton's question. Yesterday the Miss USA runner-up joined NOM to launch the "no offense" ad. This after New Hampshire passed a bill Wednesday to become the fifth state to legalize same-sex marriages. Ms. Prejean, you're only 21 years old and the world is already passing you by...

You gotta respect her honesty. People will always have different opinions on these matters. If she were a little smarter though, perhaps she would have answered the question in a more politically correct manner.

So...what I am hearing from most of you is this.  To win the title you have to sacrifice your values and lie .... I'm sure that is exactly what we need to be teaching kids these days... as if they didn't already have a problem with that.

I totally admire this young lady and hope she sticks to her values and tells everyone else to suck off.

A bigger point is that Carrie Prejean's view is identical to the view of every major American Presidential candidate ever. This issue is moving so fast, but we shouldn't forget that, if I'm not mistaken, only Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul were pro-gay marriage. I am in favor of gay marriage, but I'm against some religious 21-year old being called a "dumb bitch" when political candidates, people who can affect real change, aren't called out. If anyone's feet should be held to the fire, it's the politicians. Revolutions don't start by making fun of beauty pageant contestants.

If I'm correct about 80% of the American public is against gays getting married but that hasn't seemed to affect the gay agenda in the various states.

No Nick, your not correct.

Recent polls show support for gay marriage equality among a majority of Americans.

What I want to know is which of the arguments against gay marriage were not also used to argue against miscegenation too? Or are you for "traditional marriage" in that case too?

She loves Charles Dickens and Gabriel Garcia Marquez and also, straight-to-video releases with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It's possible she reads more teen fiction than she should. She hails from Los Angeles, her hometown and soul mate, but she lives in Brooklyn, the fling she'll never forget.

She loves one-liners with sting and hates the stench of the subway in the summer. That said, she can’t get enough of either.
