  • Jack Black Spends the Super Bowl in "The Office"

We've had a pretty good time with post-Super Bowl TV in the past haven't we?  Remember when Julia Roberts stole Chandler's clothes and left him naked in the bathroom stall while Rachel and Monica were making out with Jean-Claude Van Damme?  Or perhaps the time when George fantasized he was showering en masse with Meredith, Izzie and Christina?  Well, in the grand tradition of stacking the sports frenzy aftermath with celebrity guest stars to keep people watching after the game rather than passing out in a beer-and-wings coma, Jack Black will pay a visit to the The Office for this year's post-Super Bowl must see TV...

The hitcom's producers are keeping the specifics of Black's stint under lock and key, but a just-released NBC press release says this of his role: "Some of the office workers try to secretly watch a bootlegged Hollywood movie during the workday. The movie stars Jack Black and other notable Hollywood actors."  (Entertainment Weekly)

We imagine it will be funny, but it'd be hard to top this...

  • Dave Letterman and Gillian Anderson Relive Their Makeout Session

As noticeably pregnant Gillian Anderson visited David Letterman while on her talk-show rounds promoting the new X-Files movie this week, the chat quickly moved toward her appearance on the show a few years ago. Because, as video evidence proved, that one involved some major making out.

Of course, Dave has smooched with plenty of guests, from Julia Roberts to Will Smith. But this was almost like two teenagers steaming up the windows in the back of a car. And stranger still, it looked as if it was Scully who started the whole thing. (Afterward, "you didn't write, you didn't call," she jokingly scolded him.)

  • David Letterman and Will Smith Get Romantic

When an attractive female star visits Late Show With David Letterman, we know the drill: She and Dave will shower each other with compliments, hug and kiss, flirt like crazy, and pretend that he's not a cynical old dude and she's not just there to plug her latest movie. And with some, like Julia Roberts or Drew Barrymore, you can sense some actual affection between talk-show host and talk-show guest -- even though it's clear that the relationship will never continue beyond the chilly confines of the Ed Sullivan Theater.

But we have to admit, we weren't quite prepared for Will Smith's visit with Dave last night. Not only did it include copious smooching (on the cheek, anyway), but the joking banter about the two of them as a romantic couple went on far longer than either of them appeared to expect. Check out the video above to see why Will thinks Dave will "never go back." (And be thankful that they spared us all the potential Hancock jokes.)

Lindy Parker has worked as a ghostwriter, editor, dance instructor and a purveyor of dreams, one beer at a time. She loves Charles Dickens and Gabriel Garcia Marquez and also, straight-to-video releases with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It's possible she reads more teen fiction than she should. She hails from Los Angeles, her hometown and soul mate, but she lives in Brooklyn, the fling she'll never forget.

Olivia Purnell left Ohio for sunny Los Angeles; then found that she couldn’t ignore New York City’s call, and brought herself to Brooklyn where she has worked with GenArt, BlackBook, the School of American Ballet, and finished an M.A. in Creative Writing from N.Y.U. She loves one-liners with sting and hates the stench of the subway in the summer. That said, she can’t get enough of either.
