The Remote Island by Bryan Christian The burning question of the day: Life on Mars or Eleventh Hour? Plus: Britney goes on the record, USA may not renew Monk, and our Grey's Anatomy recap.
A city's bars harbor the local sex secrets; their walls blush with stories of desperate plays, alcohol-infused maneuvers and affairs conducted straight up against the bathroom door. Of course, not all bars encourage bad behavior, but those that do are the ones we're interested in. It's no accident that writers, always in search of a good story, have long sought refuge at the pub. We asked thirteen across the continent to tell us about sex and booze and seduction and the place where they find them in the happiest proportions in the city they know best. (In three parts more to come on Monday.)
