Charlie Bit Me!

Step aside cult classics of yore, and make way for the adorable (evil?) Charlie and his big brother Harry, as their British baby souls charm their way into that irritating part of your brain that insists on replaying songs like “Barbie Girl” over and over in your mind. At first watch you may just think this video deserving of a little chuckle, but don’t look at me when you find yourself talking in a childlike British accent all day long:
Look up “Charlie Bit Me,” and you’ll be blown away by its cult following (i.e. people who choose to waste their time remaking the original clip). Most are pretty boring by comparison, but one of the “remixes” I came across proves to be even more entertaining, in that can’t-look-away-from-the-car-wreck or that awkward I-don’t-know-if-I’m-allowed-to-laugh kind of way. Giving a new meaning to baby Charlie’s sinister laugh, these Fist in the Groin guys just might blow you away…

Shh…It’s the Shopping Cart Whisperer

The other day, I was walking through my neighborhood and saw four shopping carts chained to four separate street signs. I felt like they were calling out to me, begging for an act of mercy to return them to one of the few, unfortunate grocery stores that inhabit my part of town. Powerless to help, I just kept watching. Fortunately for the abandoned few, there’s Liberty Fillmore, the Shopping Cart Whisperer. Will it blow my street cred if I confess that I was a little touched by this? Probably. Do I care? Hells no.

It's the Fox Reality Television Show "The Moment of Truth"! In which contestants are hooked up to a lie-detector and forced to answer horrifiying questions in front of their loved ones... in return for cold hard cash. Watch in riveted horror as Lauren, the contestant above, reveals that she's a lying cheating thieving slut-whore... as her sister, mother, and even the show's host beg her to stop.
And make sure to watch the clip all the way through, so that you don't miss the transcedent moment of comedy/irony/schadenfreude at the end. It's just another part of what makes Fox's reality programing so special.

This easily wins the title of "Best Video That I Have Ever Seen in My Life" -- it's the good people of "Improv Everywhere," once again, performing a sixteen-person synchronized musical... inside a mall food court.
The best part: when the security guard shows up.
The second best part: the little girl's stunned reaction at the beginning.

My friend Nick sent me this video, with the subject: “If your life isn’t like this, make your life like this.” I’m inclined to agree, and have constructed the following equation to further illustrate the point: Songs about Yul Brynner + kittens on the drums + expressive finger-faces = life in a perfect world. See? Irrefutable.
