Reader Feedback on "How Does It Feel?"
I played bass for Beauty and the Beasts and I’d like to thank Ben for his kind words. By the way, we were sure you guys had it wrapped up. Mark is a really nice guy to hang out with let alone an awesome musical talent. Anyway, I had the time of my life at the New York camp. That was my third and I must say, by far, the best yet.

What an awesome article!!! I've always wondered what went on at these types of camps. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Hi Ben, Great article! As the singer for Beauty and the Beasts, I would like to thank you for the comments about our band in the article. As a 53yo, the positive impact the camp had on me was truly amazing. Conversely, I thought to myself: "What's a 53yo trying to prove?" As a member of a now defunct band, the camp heightened my need to play. My ultimate goal was to meet people at camp from the NY area that were willing to continue to play after the camp ended, with an endgame of playing charity events. It didn't happen. So now I sit alone in the dark with a bottle of Geritol and a box of Depends (in case) wallowing in my fleeting success at B.B. King's.

Just a note to let Ben know that the bald guy in "Beauty & The Beasts" is not in his 60's. I'm 58. R & R Fantasy Camp made me feel like I was 15! Thanks for your kind words on my "Angus Young" outfit. My wife designed and tailored it. She was the one who came up with the idea to put the School of Rock patch on the pocket. Please check out my song about Fantasy Camp at www.myspace.com/farbocaster . I wrote it and play all of the instruments. My wife does the vocals. Great article. I enjoyed reading it very much. It brought back wonderul memories. Lou Farbstein

Great article! However, I've now noticed three mentions of Sirius Satellite Radio in the music issue (VJs, CBC 3, and now their recording studios), and not a single mention of XM, even though XM has more subscribers! So now that the music issue is coming to a close, I thought I'd mention them in a comment, just to be fair. (Of course, I personally happen to subscribe to Sirius and not XM, but that's beside the point....)

Cool! I think they should have a throwdown between the Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp people and the baseball fantasy camp people and see who comes out alive! Ari
