Christine O'Donnell's first campaign ad: "I'm not a witch"
By Ray RahmanOctober 5th, 2010, 8:07 amComments (9)Delaware's Republican-ish Tea Party candidate for Senate Christine O'Donnell has unveiled her first campaign ad for television. The ad elegantly begins with O'Donnell blurting out, "I'm not a witch," which is what someone would say if they weren't a witch, right? In fact, she's so not a witch that she just couldn't wait to tell people about how she's not a witch, a feat she accomplishes in literally one second:
The best part is that, after she exposes herself as non-witch, you can totally see the panic in her eyes as she thinks to herself, "Oh, shit, I've still got 29 seconds left." And so she fills her remaining airtime with some gibberish about how she's just one of us and wants to do in Washington what we'd do, which is a terrible argument when you remember that most of us are ridiculously unqualified to be legislators.

Does she float? Does she weigh the same as duck? Also, cf. Richard Nixon, 1973, "I am not a crook."
Witches everywhere breathe a sigh of relief.
Spending, trading favors, and backroom deals ARE a way to stay in office. Christine O'Donnell and eye of Newt are a toxic brew.
Christine and the fizzy-brained stuffed blouses like her are blank slates upon which impassioned supporters can project anything they like. They succeed not in spite of being mindless, but because of it.
Does she really need to "approve of this message," when the whole ad is her speaking directly into the camera?
But she turned me into a newt! (I got better).
Sorta like Larry "Widestance" Craig (R-Idaho): "I am not gay." Dude, you're so gay.
It would have been great if Craig had embarked on a denial tour like Blagojevich, appearing on late night and reality shows, and being conspicuously photographed eating manwiches while watching football games and drinking Buds. It's interesting that all his children are adopted.
glad we cleared that up
