Indonesian minister Tifatul Sembiring was one of many who met the Obamas on their recent stop in the country where Barack Obama spent several years as a child, but he's probably the only one who got into trouble for it. Sembiring, a hard-core Muslim who is outspoken about not touching any women he is not related to, was caught on camera shaking hands with the First Lady. (He also likes to make jokes about AIDS and post quotes from Hitler on his Twitter, so he is clearly nuts.)

So what do you do when you've just been discovered breaking the principles you yourself made a big point of? Blame the other person!

Immediately after a ceremony on Tuesday welcoming President Obama to Indonesia, the country’s conservative Muslim information minister took to Twitter to argue that America’s first lady, Michelle Obama, was entirely to blame for a televised handshake between the two that has left him open to charges of hypocrisy.

Stung, Mr. Sembiring claimed on his Twitter feed that Mrs. Obama had made it impossible for him to avoid touching her hand, writing: “I tried to prevent [being touched] with my hands but Mrs. Michelle held her hands too far toward me [so] we touched.”

Suuuuuuuure she did. But you can watch the video of the handshake here and decide for yourself:

Hypocrit. America isn't the only country that's full of them.

The only person who is allowed to tweet Hitler quotes and make AIDS jokes is Sarah Silverman.
