Vaginal steam baths all the rage in Los Angeles

And, as evidenced by previous Californian crazes like sushi and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the trend will probably find its way to your neighborhood soon enough.

Here's what the LA Times has to say about these vaginal steam baths:

Vaginal steam baths, called chai-yok, are said to reduce stress, fight infections, clear hemorrhoids, regulate menstrual cycles and aid infertility, among many other health benefits. In Korea, many women steam regularly after their monthly periods.

"It sounds like voodoo medicine that sometimes works," said Dr. Vicken Sahakian, medical director of Pacific Fertility Center in Los Angeles.

Laywomen are already praising the "V-steam." One claimed to have "fewer body aches and more energy," while another instructed us to think of it as "a 'facial' for her private area." Others are hoping it will increase their chances of becoming pregnant.

So when you start hearing those in-the-know hipsterettes at your local ironic bridge game talk about their steam-bathed vaginas, don't say we didn't warn you.

Just let me spread some of my hot breath over some of those cold suburban snatches and I'll be all the rage too.

It brings blood to the area so they cramp less.

So do orgasms, though.
