Judd Apatow's next movie is a "Knocked Up" spin-off starring Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann
By Gil FelicianoJanuary 7th, 2011, 3:30 pmComments (5)Judd Apatow, the writer/director behind some of the standout comedies of the last decade, will be revisiting characters from Knocked Up as the subject of his upcoming film due in 2012. The film will focus on the despair-ridden, yet endlessly relatable, married couple Pete and Debbie, played by Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann. On the project, Apatow said:
"People really responded to their characters and problems. I felt like there was a lot of ground I could explore with them, so we'll be shooting in July and will come out the following June. There are some fun details yet to reveal but I will let them come out slowly."
While Knocked Up presented the best-case scenario of having unprotected sex — ending up in a relationship with a beautiful blonde after you impregnate her — Apatow's next film will delve into the nuanced complexity of married life. In so doing, it will present the worst-case scenario of having unprotected sex: ending up in a relationship with a beautiful blonde after you impregnate her.

Cool idea. Looking forward to this.
Lemme guess--just like every other Apatow shit movie. They fight, things are shitty and unreasonable. Then they come to realize "but but but Marriage and KIDS are the best! No matter what! FAMILY FAMILY FAMILY!"
I swear to god this guy is working for the government.
There's nothing special about this. Whenever someone gets knocked up, there's (usually) a spin-off.
uhh - have you even seen his movies?
I thought these were great characters in Knocked Up - should be an interesting flick :)
Well put, sir, well put. I'll ceratinly make note of that.
