Beyonce and Jay-Z expecting a girl, says Kelly Rowland

After months of breathlessly awaiting updates on Beyonce and Jay-Z's baby, Americans no longer have to lose sleep over whether or not the kid will be a member of the homo- or heterogametic sex. At a London awards show Thursday night, former Destiny's Child bandmate Kelly Rowland let slip to Us Weekly that the couple may be expecting a baby girl, telling reporters: "I have no idea what I'm going to buy Beyonce at the baby shower because Jay is going to buy that little girl every single thing possible. She won't be spoiled, but she will be very well looked after." No word yet on whether or not Rowland received an admonishing phone call from Beyonce and Jay-Z's PR people, hinting that if she spoke to the press using anything but gender-neutral pronouns, she'd be looking at a forced stint as a guest judge on Bravo Canada's Bathroom Divas.

The sex of the couple's baby, which is due in February, has been subject to intense speculation since Beyonce revealed her baby bump at the MTV Video Music Awards last September. Sources have also used female pronouns to describe Feyonce (get it? 'Cause, like, Fetus and Beyonce? Sigh...we have fun) to People magazine, so that might be what you want to put your money on in your office's "Guess the Sex of the Celebrity Fetus" betting pool. Either way, regardless of the baby's gender, he/she/ze will definitely be dripping swag sauce/swagu.
