Nothing screams quirky like Christmas songs in October. And no one screams, or rather sings, quirky like Zooey Deschanel. So it's no surprise that the singer-actress-manic-pixie-dream-girl has released the first track off She & Him's holiday album a full two-months ahead of the winter season. With "The Christmas Waltz", Deschanel and musical companion M. Ward provide the perfect retro crooning to soundtrack the twee-est, albeit melancholy, Christmas ever. (Anyone who's ever seen Elf knows Zooey was practically bred to spread wintry cheer.) And besides, is it ever too early to sing about candles and candy canes? If you work in retail, maybe it's best you don't answer that question.

Hey, either eat a green apple before those vocal tracks or have those clicks removed via DSP!
This is totally unexceptional
For Christmas musical fare, nothing will ever touch "Fairytale of New York" by The Pogues with Kirsty McColl
Not impressed.
She won my heart in 'Elf' and she rekindles my obsession for her with this lovely rendition.
I can't stand her, but this is actually quite nice
I refuse to listen.
Ditto
I'm listening to it right now hoping Matt Ward sings as well. If he doesn't, then I just wasted 3 minutes of my life. =(
hate her voice
