After singer Amy Winehouse died in July at the age of twenty-seven, many fans mourned the fact that she only released two studio albums during her lifetime, 2003's Frank and 2006's Back to Black. Before her passing, however, Winehouse was working on another studio album, which is now set for release on December 5. Produced by Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, Lioness: Hidden Treasures will feature twelve previously unheard tracks compiled over the course of Winehouse's brief career, including alternate takes of her hit single "Valerie" and an original duet with Nas recorded in 2008.

In addition to original tracks and takes of previously recorded songs, the album will also feature a cover of the Shirelles' "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," the recently released duet with Tony Bennett on "Body and Soul" (below), and an acoustic, one-take version of Donny Hathaway's "A Song With You," with Winehouse accompanying herself on guitar. Lioness will also showcase Winehouse's work from earlier in her career, including previously unheard cuts of "Halftime" and "The Girl from Ipanema."

According to producer Remi, who started working with WInehouse when she was eighteen, the singer had been working on a third album since 2009, and the tracks on the album were selected from thousands of hours of vocal recordings. "I believe she has left something beyond her years," Remi told the Sun. "She has put together a body of work that will inspire an unborn generation. I'm blessed to be part of that process."
