Watch: Rainn Wilson murders indie band Blitzen Trapper in new short film

Rainn Wilson is a really big fan of indie-rockers Blitzen Trapper. In fact, his fandom is so obsessive that it's led to murderous impulses that would even frighten Dwight Schrute. That's if you believe the contents of this new, oddball short film anyway. In The Blitzen Trapper Massacre, Wilson does his best to join the group of folksy, Pacific Northwesterners, but upon facing rejection, he's compelled to commit a few heinous acts of violence. Now that you mention it, he certainly has the facial hair of a mad man. The clip culminates in Wilson performing a bloody version of the band's song "Furr." It's all a little strange and a lot of awesome.

In other Blitzen Trapper news, the band is releasing a new, limited edition seven-inch single on Record Store Day, April 16th. We're presuming they recorded it before they were brutally slaughtered.
