Mitt Romney and dog

In case you're still concerned about the well-being of Mitt Romney's notoriously mistreated Irish setter Seamus, worry not! Mitt has cleared the whole thing up for us, explaining that the li'l guy actually loved riding at high speeds in an open-air container on top of the family car. And, in spite of recent attacks on his wife, the presumptive Republican nominee called the dog-related accusations the hardest "so far" of his campaign.

Countering widely reported stories of the infamous 1983 Romney road trip, Ann Romney backed up her husband, claiming in a new interview that the dog didn't develop diarrhea out of sheer terror, but that, "Once, he ate the turkey on the counter. I mean, he had the runs." Otherwise, "The dog loved it," she said. "He would see that crate and, you know, he would, like, go crazy because he was going with us on vacation. It was to me a kinder thing to bring him along than to leave him in the kennel for two weeks."

She also likened the experience to riding a motorcycle or roller coaster — two common dog activities — and called Seamus' carrier "an enclosed kennel, not in the open air." While it's high time the Romneys took some time to fully address SeamusGate, this somehow doesn't feel especially convincing, given that their only evidence is that the dog would "go crazy" when it came time to travel. Will this poor dog ever truly know justice?

Mitt asked the dog: "Where do you want to ride?" and the dog said "roof!"

That's funny

Don't like mittens as a nominee, but to be fair, we had a half Irish Setter and she would FREAK at the chance to get in the car. Yes, occasionally she would get so excited she would pee and poo. That's why she didn't get to ride in the car often (we would put a tarp down). And I bet the Romulans loved poochie so much, they didn't want to deprive their dog of a ride, or clean up poop, so the obvious solution is to put it on the "roof!"

Yes, abusers always think their victims really enjoy being abused. Especially when the victims can't speak for themselves.

At least he didn't name his botique breed "rescue dog" after himself like our current president.

Abusing a dog is always worse.

Yeah, he can let the dog ride on the roof as long he doesn't sell guns to mexican drug gangs like our sad inept current President did ("Fast and Furious").

The "Fast and Furious" fiasco was actually started under the previous sad inept President, and came to light under this one. They don't replace everyone in government departments when the new administration takes over you know.

Nope ... try again. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Fast_and_Furious
Fas and Furious was an O-dumma affair with his Perjurer Attorney General Holder in the drivers seat.

meh

The dog was in a crate on the roof.

Much better than the bubbas I see with an unsecured pet in the bed of their pickup trucks.

At least he didn't blow up the peaceful planet of Alderan, like our current president did.
