Rick Perry's awful new ad now has more YouTube dislikes than Rebecca Black's "Friday"
By James Brady RyanDecember 9th, 2011, 11:00 amComments (11)The title of "Most Disliked YouTube Video" is rather decisively taken by Justin Bieber's "Baby," which has over two million down votes, but the runner-up spot has just been taken by Rick Perry's much reviled new ad, "Strong." You know, the one in which he talks about what a travesty it is that gays can serve openly in the military while wearing almost literally Heath Ledger's exact costume from Brokeback Mountain:
And what video did Perry's ad take the second place spot with over four-hundred thousand dislikes? Rebecca Black's ode to those with complete and utter lack of musicality, "Friday," which was formerly the second most-hated with two-hundred and fifty thousand. Unfortunately for Perry, once you take into account the ratio of Likes to Dislikes, the picture is even bleaker, because there are some perverse people out there who actually enjoyed Black's song; Perry's ad — which has also been up on YouTube a fraction of the time "Friday" has — not so much. (Well, okay, it has ten thousand up votes. I guess there are lots of different kinds of perverse people out there. Perry sure thinks so!)
Numbers don't lie, Rick. You are officially worse than this:

"I believe strongly in The Father, The Son, and...uh...um. Shoot. Gimmie a second. What was the third one? Oops."
"Obama's war on religion?" Really? How about you focus on creating jobs and stabilizing the economy? Just a thought.
Oh, and accept the fact that Christianity isn't the ONLY religion in this country. We are not a theocracy.
not officially, and not YET
Last I heard, even a majority of Republicans support open service in the military. What a bizarre issue to focus on.
Bashing gays serving openly in the military regardless of his political platform. He was saying that because gays can nownserve openly in the military, why can't we openly express our religious beliefs in school, etc? And don't say separation of church and state, that's not the constitution. There is a difference between state sponsored religion and being able tompray openly in school. it's a subtlety that I think is missed by libs because he's Republican and therefore evil.
-there is no law forbidding anyone to pray in school.
-this country was not founded as a Christian nation (no, there's no mention of "separation of church and state" in the constitution but the people who wrote it routinely made that clear)
-"not gay bashing" is an interesting interpretation of "there's something wrong in this country..."
the ad again. He isn't bashing one point. He's using it as a comparator for the second point. Don't hear what you are expecting to hear because he's Republican, hear what he means.
There is no law against school prayer but there are rules and you can and will get sued and lose if you are a school that allows prayer during school.
conservatroll. He wants little Johnny to read the Bible in science class. How cute.
The kiddies can pray their little hearts out in school, as long as it's not disrupting (theirs or anyone else's) learning, and as long as it's not a mandatory "everybody join hands, it's time to pray now" group thing.
THAT'S what that whole separation of church and state thing is.
Now you say something
