Adios Glenn Beck: Check out a retrospective montage of Beck's "Greatest Hits"

So, the polarizing pontiff of pabulum himself, Glenn Beck, signed off for the last time on his Fox show Thursday, but not before taking shots at Jon Stewart, Margaret Sanger, ACORN, CNN, and others. No need to worry though, you'll get two hours of Beck on his new GBTV webcast, where, at five o'clock, he'll be competing against his old slot's replacement. That would be The Five, a talk show (starting July 11) featuring a rotating panel of guests like Red Eye's Greg Gutfeld, Juan Williams, Geraldo Rivera, Bob Beckel, Monica Crowley, and Kimberly Guilfoyle.

To commemorate the end of Professor Beck's tenure at Fox, his old buddies at Media Matters assembled a going-away video, entitled "Requiem for a Rodeo Clown," that makes you wonder what the recovering-alcoholic Beck was like when he wasn't sober. More than anything, I see Beck as a frustrated thespian, who gets off on chewing the scenery in his Bizarro, Strangelovian world. I'm sure that more than one rubber room is occupied by similar characters who believe that George Soros is bent on global Marxist enslavement. Enjoy.
