Chloe Sevigny

Just a few days before Big Love airs its final episode, Chloe Sevigny may have already signed on to her next HBO project. The actress is attached to play Lizzie Borden — the New England woman who famously avoided conviction for the murder of her father and stepmother by hatchet in 1892 — in an upcoming miniseries for the network. In preparation for the role, Sevigny has reportedly been logging nights at the Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast in Borden's hometown of Fall River, Mass.

The project is backed by Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman's Playtone, and Sevigny would also sign on as co-exec producer. Fingers crossed for some gory Chloe-wielding-hatchet shots, and an early hats-off to the writer who figures out how to work a topless sex scene into the story.

if i remember correctly there was testimony at Lizzie's trial that after the killings she stripped down and rinsed off. there's not just topless but all nude... and no need to distort the facts.

She is amazing! Seems like a great role for her. She has totally stolen the show in these final episodes of Big Love. Hope she gets an Emmy nom for her work there.

I've stayed at the Borden B&B, by the way. I wonder if Sevigny will put on some weight to play the famously dowdy spinster.
