Former SNL star thinks gay kissing on Glee is "sickening"

It seems like more and more people are starting to hate Glee, though not all for the right reasons. Dave Grohl verbalized a valid defense of musicians who don't want the show to use their music, while former SNL cast member Victoria Jackson is just mad at it for being gay. It turns out that since her run on the hallowed sketch-comedy show, she's become a Muslim-fearing, Tea Party-supporting, homophobic conservative, as evidenced by an op-ed she wrote on World Net Daily (whatever that is).
Here are her thoughts on last Tuesday's episode of Glee, which showed two dudes locking lips:
Did you see Glee this week? Sickening! And, besides shoving the gay thing down our throats, they made a mockery of Christians — again! I wonder what their agenda is? Hey, producers of Glee — what's your agenda? One-way tolerance?

I don't really like Glee, but this is the opposite of "One-way tolerance" I've seen half an episode and there was plenty of heterosexual romance. It's fantastic that a tv show is showing young people that either sexuality is perfectly fine

I'm a fan of the show...and I'm also a conservative Catholic (with liberal tendencies). Honestly, I'm glad that they showed the kiss. I was just happy that someone Kurt liked had finally had feelings for him back. It didn't bother me at all that the other person happened to be a boy.
I don't understand why many Christians tote around this holier-than-thou attitude about sexuality because of a few phrases in Leviticus. It's more important to treat others the way that you want to be treated. Okay, so you didn't like two guys kissing on television? Perhaps you shouldn't allow any straight couple kissing on tv either. Accept others and treat others with dignity because we are all humans (and God's children if you believe in Him).

This lady isn't even worth a mention on Hooksexup. Seems like she's been irrelevant for the past 20 years after her stint on SNL. The fact that she's expressed "birther" views should have been a huge red flag.

I think it's great that Glee is showing that it is okay to be just the way you are. It's awesome that a mainstream show is willing to stand up for what is right.

I'm just flashing back to an SNL where she flashed her panties and danced on the Desk in a weekend update. There were no jokes, she was just announcing she got engaged to a police officer. Fantastic.

Ijust happened upon this site and this article. Even though I don't care for Miss Jackson, and I don't watch Glee, nor am I a right-wing conservative republican, I am also offended by the constant gay intimacy thrown at us by the media to try and get us to accept homosexuality. In fact, I'm offended by most of the sexual contact of heterosexuals constantly flashed everywhere you look! It's like every program is trying to push the envelope to see how far they can go for the sake of ratings!
I personally don't want to be consistently surprised by all the gay kissing that's taking place in mainstream media or cable. You don't have to be conservative to find it offensive. So I resent Miss Jackson preaching about her so-called Christian beliefs up there on her soapbox.
Stop making it a political topic, Miss Jackson! You are making it seem ok for people like yourself to think it's ok to hurt gays.
I don't condone any sort of discrimination or violence against ANYONE! But I still don't want to see all the sex on tv or in the movies. Live and let live but don't live your sex life in front of me; gay or straight!

No, they blame the upbringing or some traumatic event in their life.Maybe it's the same thing for gay people. Think about it. You do have a choice.
I am sorry but I have no problem with the gay or the straight action but that show is becoming so sexually obsessed And this whole I am with guys then girls then guys and then girls and they are glorifying cheating on people with each other. Look I am not saying that there are not times when a small amount of people are openly going back and forth. But the fact is that this is supposed to be a family show and about music. AND yes I am christian but not a fundamentalist and not an ignorant person either with degrees at the graduate level in both Philosophy and Psychology and a brother whom we talk about cosmology and agree who is a top level PHD from a top school. I do not hate gay people or want them to stop, but I still Think GLee is number one misleading as bills itself as a family friendly show and it is very hyper-sexual as well as being way to permissive about human failings often portraying the temptation glamorously and the consequences as no big deal. But worst of all are these girls that like going back and forth in a way that is simply not realistic of reality in my experience, except for a tiny majority. But more to the point it simply does not need to be dealt with in the way that it is in a family show. It is one thing to acknowledge that teenagers in high-school are sexually obsessed but its is unrealistic that they are all having sex and further more that they are so filled true bisexuals that can not just feel lust but feel love for both sexes. This show just caters to all these fantasies to get its ratings and to be subversive and I find this just as stupid as say the other extreme when a bush policy would not support birth control in Africa by using condoms because it was abstinence only. I am so tired of extremists but more importantly I am particularly tired of Hollywood trying to program our kids to not treat sex as the powerful part of life that it is. there are more narcotics released in the brain because of strong feelings and sexual attraction than many people understand. And kids are both overly hormonal, lack experience with their own feelings, and have an underdeveloped ability to understand consequences because that does not finish filling in till there early 20s. SO I find this show as extremely unhelpful. if they want to have it this way fine. but make it a show only on at ten pm and warn parents. this should not be seen by younger teens. I laugh because this is far worse than an R-rated movie but yet you not only do not need and adult, you can watching in early prime time in the comfort of your own home. I am not sure why this is being allowed to continue as it is currently packaged. I think its sad statement about our society right now
for me its not about being gay or straight its about being inappropriately marketed as a family show when its at best a show for juniors and seniors in high school and even then its awfully racy. More racy than they can find anyway? NO but it is changing the standards of decency and that is bad news to me. Sex is not like any other bodily function or drive. it is a powerful emotional and psychologically experience as well as powerful physical one. I am even bothered that someone who is fairly open minded has to get online and express out rage and put myself in the position of the kill joy.
Glee lost me when one of the cheerleaders asked the other if she wanted to "scissor".
