January Jones Is No Betty Draper, In The Best Way Possible

January Jones has an interview and photo spread in this month's GQ, and...I think I love her. No - I know I love her. Her very sexy photos and, most importantly, her excellent words after the jump.Where to be begin? Well, for one thing, I was always in the crowd that believed Jones is utterly fantastic on Mad Men - many people think that the aloof, unresponsive Betty Draper is actually just Jones herself in period clothing, but I find her portrayal completely fascinating. And this article only reinforces the fact that Betty and January are very different people, so that helps. But what made me so very enamored of this woman? One - she loves football:

My screen saver is a photo of me with Peyton and Eli at the Kentucky Derby.

As a devoted Giants fan, I nearly swooned. Two - she likes playing dumb drinking games:

You know in first class, where they have tables in between the seats? Well, we were chewing tobacco and playing quarters. And they were like, You are cut off

Awesome! I once played quarters on a boat - I wonder how the experience compares. Call me, January, and we can find out together! Third - the girl is kind of weird in a fantastic way. This was given as one of the few downsides of the Chili's at O'Hare Airport:

...they don’t have a “red beer” (beer and tomato juice) here like she’s seen at the franchise’s other Midwestern outlets.

What? Is...is that a thing? Maybe, but it sounds insane! And yet detailed in a way that makes me absolutely believe that she would like to drink beer mixed with tomato juice. The interview makes her sound like everything Megan Fox wishes she could be - outspoken, smart, unwilling to take your crap. World, please make Ms. Jones much more famous.

Swoon. Check January Jones out in "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005)" - directed by her father. We're going to see more great work from her.

Tommy Lee Jones - not her father. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005064/bio
