How is it possible that 115 girls are pregnant at one school of 800 females? Did a few popular girls get preggers, inspiring everyone else to follow their example? And what the hell is the school doing to stop the spiraling population? Don't tell me it's "abstinence-only."
According NowPublic News:
There is no specific reason why [Paul] Robeson High is experiencing such a high rate of pregnancies amongst its students. Robeson principal Gerald Morrow cited the young girls' home environment as being a factor, "It can be a lot of things that are happening in the home or not happening in the home, if you will."
Thanks, Mr. Morrow, but there are a lot of schools in cities where kids generally have terrible home lives, but they don't end up turning the joint in a maternity ward.
And as if this isn't enough ammo for conservatives to make a guilt-by-association remark about Obama, apparently a nearby crackhouse is being turned into a daycare center-- for students to put their babies in.
