Gambino Family Hit Man Comes Out As Gay During Sentencing

Robert Mormando, a hit man turned informant, shocked the court in Brooklyn yesterday when - as well as renouncing his membership in the mob - he decided to get everything off his chest at once and come out of the closet. A bit of an awkward time to drop the G-bomb, but I once told someone I was gay while we were bowling, so I can relate.

Mormando decided to leave shortly after his induction to the family, after he was involved in the shooting of a Queens baker. While The Sopranos' gay Vito (pictured) is the laziest and easiest comparison to make, I am still going to do it, as I have no other reference point for the mob in my mind that doesn't involve decapitated horse heads.

It seems like things will be working out a bit better for the real-life version (which mostly requires that he not be beaten to death), as Mormando was sentenced to time served, which actually means he won't be serving any time.
