Yo-Landi Vi$$ser of Die Antwoord turns down role in David Fincher movie

The small, terrifying and completely singular Yo-Landi Vi$$er of the notorious South African rap trio Die Antwoord was recently offered the main role in David Fincher's remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Seeing as how every young actress from Ellen Page to Carey Mulligan are tripping over each other to secure this role, the coolness with which Yo-Landi turned it down is pretty punk rock. (Punk rock being anti-establisment, not necessarily financially gainful, or even smart.)
She told New York magazine that "They contacted my agency in L.A...but we said no because it's not something I want to do.” I have no idea what her abilities are or even if she'd make a good actress. But if we're talking subversive female roles, she looks the part. (Afrikaner gutterpunks: they exist.)
