Creation museum bans "gay" couple

This shouldn't exactly surprise you, but earlier this month a same-sex "couple" was told they could not attend a date night event at the Creation Museum in Kentucky. That's right: the same folks who believe we roamed the earth alongside dinosaurs also believe two men holding hands is a total aberration. Shocker, I know.
The incident occurred when a man arrived (along with his friends, a hetero couple), and told security personnel that he was waiting for his guest who was — gasp — another man. Not only was he told he could not attend, but he also couldn't get a refund for the tickets he bought in advance online. But here's the best part — the two men in question weren't even romantically involved, nor were they gay. That's the kind of ignorant mishap that could only occur, well, at museum that celebrates the evils of science. Maybe they should go to the Noah's Ark amusement park on their next outing?

Same-sex couples don't really exist, but Noah's Ark did?
Isn't this kind of descrimination by a business illegal?
Maybe, maybe not. As we all know, sexual orientation isn't a protected class under the constitution (yet). That's why it's perfectly ok for governments to ban gay marriage. That said, many states and local communities have adopted sexual orientation as a protected class, and ban that type of discrimination (I jate to stereotype, but I have a feeling Kentucky is not one of those jurisdictions). That said, even if the conduct isn't discriminatory, it may violate consumer fraud laws. Businesses cannot ban certain people AND take their money without a refund. There needs to be some type of disclosure or notice.

As much as I hate Kentucky and hate creationists, they're probably not overtly discriminating. If it was "Date Night" and the two people inquestion weren't involved with eachother, then they weren't on a date and probably weren't subject to any discount given to couples for "date night".
If they don't exclude M/F couples who are "just friends", then this is overt discrimination.
I have no issues of them getting kicked out if they were indeed creatonists ;)

and the worst part is that they get public funds for this monstrosity!!!
I smell a BIG lawsuit! These idiots, Glenn Beck, the Michelle Bachmanns of the world - they should be sued at every turn. I don't know why not in a society that sues when people spill coffee on themselves.
