How to F*ck Up Your Kid From Childbirth: Have an Orgasm While He Makes His Way Down the Birth Canal

Posted by Emily Farris

Sometimes we stumble upon a website we wish we wouldn't have. One such example is orgasmicbirth.com. In case you were wondering, it's exactly what you think it is.

Orgasms can be great pain relievers, yes, but it doesn't exactly seem like that's what they're going for here. And sometimes these things happen by accident. But purposely having your first experience with your living, breathing child be an orgasmic one? Well, that's a little too new age-y, even for us.

If you're into that sort of thing, they're making a documentary about it. And we do know a few men who are really into pregnant ladies. So maybe someone will be glad we found this site.

I don't want to come over all rabid feminist, but I think your negative reaction in this blog is a bit extreme. I remember reading a while ago that the physiological stages of labour can sometimes mimic arousal and that orgasm is a legitimate form of pain relief for some. So, hey, if you're able to get off during labour, why not? Anything to get the little bastard out of there, I reckon.

Of course, I'm never going to have any children, so I'm speaking from a purely hypothetical stance.

You must not have even looked at this site.  "Orgasmic birth" is a very unfortunate title, but it is NOT "exactly what you think it is."  It is about the benefits and safety of a more natural as opposed to a medicalized birth.  I am appalled that your uninformed judgment may have turned some families away from a resource that might have helped them make a more reasoned decision about their own birth plan.  This is irresponsible.
