Mac Users Sexier than PC Users

Posted by Emily Farris

And we're not just talking about how much hotter Mac users are.

According to adult toy seller Lovehoney's web stats, Mac users spend more time on their site than PC users. So maybe it would be more accurate to say that Mac users are more comfortable with their sexuality? Either way (as if we needed another reason) we feel even more validated for spending so much on our sleek MacBook. And yes, we know there are plenty of good looking people who use PC's—we just don't happen to know any of them as we live in the land of MacBooks and skinny jeans.

[Macbook: Mac owners officially sexier than Windows]

Just looking at the two of them (i.e., ignoring the scripts in which Mr. PC is made to sound like an idiot), which one would you hire for a professional job -- lawyer, accountant, oncologist, etc.?  The visual sends a message that PC's are more reliable and professional than Macs.

Oh, and did it occur to anyone that PC users don't *need* the help of sex toys to get their partners off?

Professional job meaning what? Non creative one? Maybe. I mean, who would you rather hire to design a logo or shoot a commercial for your company? Just a thought. But, again, I'm 100% biased.

I don't have a Mac because I can't afford one.  Maybe Mac users spend more time shopping for sex toys because they have more expendable income?

I think that the cost of a Mac really becomes a quality vs. cost call. I am a relatively poor artist, but I have a Mac and drive a newish Honda Civic. Why? Because they are both going to last me a long time. Sure, I could have gone with a Dell and a 10 year old Kia and saved myself a fair amount of cash but, in my experience, it more than evens out in the long run with less frustration. Maybe that's why Mac users go to a site that has higher end sex toys vs. going to the local shady porno book store? :D

yeah. This stupid, drawnout argument is really more about skill and profession than it is sexiness and appeal. Artists communicate, interact, focus, and work more on Macs. If I, as a GIS specialist, tried to use my skill on a mac, I would become incompatible and useless to my cohorts.

So, what this boils down to is commercial vs. commercial art. That's it. end of story. Not who's smarter or sexier.

Do we have info on whether these Mac-using sex-toy-shoppers were artists?  Because if they're not, blondage, that's kind of a moot point.  Also, I've had PCs that have lasted me for years.

Well, I gave three examples of professionals, but yes, if you're talking about a design professional ("design" being defined broadly), the Mac guy is, visually, the one you'd hire.  And actually, that's about how PCs and Macs tend to break out -- word- and number-crunching fields tend to have PCs; visually oriented fields tend to have Macs.

And, FWIW, I like PCs much more for what I do, but I do have a soft spot for my 1986-vintage MacPlus, which still runs.

I both use a PC and wear skinny jeans and I care about the environment, so ha!  Not to mention, I'm smokin, or at least not bad looking.  =)

You do realize that Macs go both ways (you can run Virtual PC or Parallels). PCs can't. Case closed. So what's the problem?
