We can't let opening day go by without at least a brief mention of the hell that is about to break loose on movie theaters in major cities this weekend.
Um, hell is about to break loose. As the "Sex and the City" movie opens, women everywhere will be sipping over-priced cosmopolitans, wearing uncomfortable stilettos, and punning like they've never punned before.
A terrible review from the New York Times is no matter to the women (and men!) who have been so dedicated to this show (sigh, including us).
No, we're not seeing it tonight, or even this weekend, but we will see the "Sex and the City" movie at some point, in the theater. We made tentative plans with a friend to see it next week. She shares our sentiments on the whole phenomenon (sex and writing: good, pink drinks and super high heels: bad).
Make fun of us for it. We can handle it.
