When was the last time you saw professional athletes laughing and enjoying themselves, putting on a real show for the fans that has nothing to do with how many home runs their muscles have earned them or how much better than Michael Jordan they think they are? (Yeah, we mean you, Kobe Bryant.)
Over the weekend, the Texas Rangers faced the New York Mets at Shea Stadium, which is soon to be demolished. Unfortunately, the game, much like our Saturday and Sunday, got washed away. Thankfully, some Rangers players gave the long-suffering fans a treat when they turned the tarp-covered field into their very own gigantic slip 'n slide.
Sure, this is a trivial video and you only need to watch about thirty seconds to fully appreciate the story, but remember this: the notorious New York fans, in a rare display of national unity, actually chanted "Let's go, Rangers" as the players carried out their entertainment. Kinda warms the heart, doesn't it?
