While we were "researching" our earlier post about Perez Hilton we came across an article on the "new information" regarding potential Chinese gymnast age fraud. Apparently the International Olympic Committee has learned about the documents listing Chinese gymnast He Kexin's age as 14 instead of 16. According to Olympic guidelines gymnasts must be 16 to compete. They now had to promise to investigate the alleged misreporting.
We told you about these documents yesterday. They were uncovered by an American search engine hacker named stryde.hax and found deep in the depths of a Chinese search engine.
According to Epoch Times:
The widely publicised blog site by hacker “stryde.hax” has detailed documents found in search engine caches that suggest He Kexin's real birth year to be 1994. All of the links to the documents have been rapidly disappearing from live sites, sparking concerns of internet censorship.
Philippe Filacci, Head of Media Operations for the International Gymnastics Federation, presently in Beijing, confirmed that he was aware of the new evidence. "We are investigating it," he said in a phone interview.
Ah we get it, they're young. It's over. Someone tell Bela Karolyi to relax and go spot some 85-pound girl on the balance beam.
