Reader Round-Up: Penises, Pining and PDA

Posted by Emily Farris

We get more emails from people we don't know than from people we do, which also means we receive a lot of shitty links. And more times than not, we regret opening most of them... just most of the links we open, that is; we don't actually open all of the emails (word to the wise: we're not going to blog about a restaurant in Brooklyn unless somebody got naked in the kitchen and sacrificed a very important body part to the meat slicer and if you send the same email to Scanner three times with three different greetings we get really annoyed). Sometimes, just sometimes, we get links that make us feel a little dirty, a little warm and fuzzy or a little heartbroken (in a good way). The best of last week's reader submitted links make us feel all those things and more.

Chaca's Penis Drawings
The gift for the person who has everything? The perfect item to fill that empty space on your bathroom wall? Whatever your penis drawing needs, Chaca has them covered.

From Chaca:

Hey hey homies at Hooksexup! My name is Chacha Roux, the dick drawing chick from New Brunswick, and I draw penises and sell them for a ridiculously low price. Thought you pervs might enjoy...  ;)

Heres my blog and my etsy. Spread the penis gospel!

Done spread, lady.

The Hug Me Club

We love hugs. We love hugs so much we've considered going to a Cuddle Party, but we always imagine that ending with inappropriate poking. An alternative might be the Hug Me Club, a website started by some guy named Kacper (or so he says) who loves hugs and wants other people who love hugs to wear bracelets saying so, so that when two people wearing the bracelets meet, they can hug and that will be that.

The Heartbroke Daily
Who doesn't love a good story about heartbreak? The Heartbroke Daily is a new-ish blog that follows the love life of Knox Dupree, a fictional character (whose ghost writer appears to be a happily married man) and the women who break his heart. A little sample:

Hannah’s nervous anxiety and my deep rooted depression combined to create the most pleasantly subdued relationship I’d ever experienced. It made me wonder why I’d spent so many years chasing after banshees, hell bent on destroying me. After six months, though, I started to notice a change in Hannah. She was less reserved, more confident. When we went out for drinks with friends, she didn’t just listen quietly, but started injecting herself into conversations. I picked her up for dinner and she wore a strapless dress, a revelation for us both. She even got me to take her out dancing on her birthday, a very unusual request for a chronic wallflower.

It finally began to unravel, when, one night, she confessed that she had recurring fantasies about being unfaithful to me. We were close enough to reveal this sort of inner thought, but still I was stunned. All I could think to say was “I’d prefer if you didn’t cheat on me, but if you really have to, please don’t let me know about it.”

Do you make/do/have something good we should be writing about? . But it better be good, damnit.
