5 Women Who Look Better With Age

Posted by Colleen Kane
This the women's version of a list posted earlier this week, 5 Men Who Look Better With Age. As noted in that one, we aimed to choose women who had not just aged well, but who have managed to look better than their younger selves.

Here they are, from youngest to oldest.

Aimee Mann is almost not of this earth. It's hard to believe she's 48, as she looks so much prettier than in her mid-80s pop-singer days in 'Til Tuesday.

Frances McDormand  She was certainly beautiful in youth, though somewhat generic. At 51, age has given her expressive face far more character, and the choice roles have followed.

Meryl Streep Some might argue that 60-year-old Meryl has simply aged well, just an older version of how she looked in her early roles like 1977's The Deer Hunter. She was lovely as a young woman, but she's outstanding as a mature woman. She now radiates that certain Meryl Streep something, and so, she has improved with age.

Blythe Danner Age becomes this 66-year-old actress and activist. She's a grandmother who looks both older and youthful at once.

Vanessa Redgrave At 72, she must be taking some pulls from Paul Newman's bottle of magical looks-retention serum. Sure, she was smoking in 1966's Blowup, but who wouldn't be, all skinny and topless in the 60s with the heavy eye makeup? In older age, she's rocking a less intense, more softened look, and she wears it well.

Well done, ladies.

I've seen Aimee up very close and i really can't believe she's 48 !?! She is completely gorgeous and is very low-key about it: she has no lines on her   finely boned face and her skin is perfect and clear. She's also very tall and fit. If u told me she was 25 i'd absolutely believe it! (And it she doesnt have that weird mask-like look of someone using Botox  or plastic surgery. ) She's very health-conscious ---so people if u wanna look this good in yr future, stop eating  junk and surrounding yrself with bad chemical-ly products and such
