Not sure how we missed this the other day, but apparently Andrew Young, former executive director of the SCLC, former mayor of Atlanta, and current candidate for the "I'm Getting Too Old and Crazy to Speak in Public" Prize, decided that the best reason that African-Americans should vote for Hillary Clinton rather than Barack Obama is because her husband used to... well, maybe you can guess where this is going?
"Bill is every bit as black as Barack. He's probably gone with more black women than Barack," the former UN ambassador quipped on a live TV interview - immediately adding, "I'm clowning."
You know, this is one of those moments where we're glad we're not an actual journalist, because if we had been conducting that interview, our follow-up question would almost certainly have contained the words "Robert De Niro" and we'd have been soooooo fired.
