A Very Important Annoucement from Scanner HQ or: Why Scanner Emily is No Longer on the Road to Becoming a Crazy Cat Lady

Scanner readers, if you'll allow me to get personal for a moment, I'd like you to meet Jack:

I took my own advice and adopted him from a local shelter on Friday. After our first weekend together, we're in love. If you've noticed my absence from Scanner for the past few working days, blame it on Jack. Currently, I have a hard time turning down his puppy dog eyes when he walks over to my desk with a tennis ball in his mouth.

(For the record, that futon is not my couch. That is now Jack's hangout, in my office. I just wanted to clear that up.)

Congrats! I found an abandoned puppy a few weeks ago and she has been a blessing.

Great news! Jack is super cute and will no doubt bring another potential crazy cat lady back from the brink. :)

There's nothing wrong with the carpet. What is wrong with people? It would be awesome with a rich blue wall and dark wood furnishing. But enough about decor!

The dog is adorable!

Yo, kids. I just moved and have a huge apartment to furnish. What I've done so far (not the office) is actually really great. And I happen to like the rug, too.
