I have never grown a goatee but I tried a full beard for a few weeks in early 1975 to add to the motorcycle cop mustache I wore for several years. It appealed to some women I dated (remember the five cent mustache ride T shirts?) as it served as a salt lick for margaritas in San Diego bars and dance clubs. My current third wife prefers clean shaven faces and all of her women friends prefer clean also. They also are bored with so many men who have shaved heads, mustaches and goatees...how many men really look attractive with facial hair?

Somehow I don't think the goatee was the real issue in this situation! My boyfriend has a goatee and I find it very sexy. I didn't like it when I first met him, but I love how it feels when he uses it to tickle my bare skin. Too bad Jenny couldn't appreciate it ;)
