The World's First Male Vibrator Is Here and We're Already Excited

Octopuss' Pulse bills itself as the world's first "guybrator"

by Liam Mathews

The Pulse sex toy, billed as the "world's first guybrator," is now available in America. It uses oscillations on the frenulum (the connector tissue between the head and shaft) to stimulate orgasm. The Pulse is manufactured by the British company Octopuss, whose cofounder told Wired UK, "we see Pulse as more of a lifestyle product that was aspirational. It looks more like a speaker than a masturbation aid." It sells for $99, and is available at these retailers.

While it certainly looks cool, its utility seems dubious, as vibration has never been a sensation that penises crave. But I'd be willing to give it a shot. Men have never had a good vibrator of their own, and this could be the one. It can be used by couples, too, so it could be another tool in a versatile sex toy arsenal. Or, you know, just some more junk collecting dust in your bedside drawer next to those fuzzy handcuffs.
