Cindy McCain appears in anti-bullying, anti-Don't Ask Don't Tell video

Cindy McCain — wife of Senator John McCain, who's a noted supporter of the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy which stops openly gay men and women from serving in the military — makes an appearance in a new video about anti-LGBT bullying by the No H8 campaign. After discussing the alarming rates of suicides and suicide attempts among gay and transgender youth, the video asks, what is causing young LGBT people do this?

Cindy's answer? "My husband," basically:

This isn't the first time Cindy has spoken out for LGBT causes. Cindy McCain: cooler than we all probably thought! I guess she and John have a kind of James Carville/Mary Matalin situation going on? But I still feel like there are going to be some awkward moments around the McCain household in the near future.
