Topless acrobats do sexy time for Pope at Vatican
By Jeff MillsDecember 16th, 2010, 1:00 pmComments (5)Looking like a sketch from Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, four circus acrobats known as Fratelli Pellegrini (bottled water brothers?), trailed by a catwoman coat collector, strode onto the Vatican proscenium yesterday, and put on a show for Pope Benedict XVI, Fratelli Pellegrini-style.
The acrobats were invited to do their human Jenga/living-art performance during the weekly Papal audience as part of a convention on circuses, organized by the Vatican's Office for Migrants.
The bizarre scene resembles nothing so much as a Chippendale's routine for an aging theologian in a big chair. If you can make it to second fifty-seven, enjoy a one-second close-up of the pontiff observing the proceedings like a monitor lizard checking out foliage. Enjoy the Euro-Tesh, pseudo-triumphant soundtrack, and nuns waving cloths and taking pictures as if they were at a Jonas Brothers concert. You're welcome.

Having lived in Italy for a number of year (Rome for 3) and heard all the Vatican stories, this just looks like a typical Friday night among the bretheren. That music has to have been added in after the fact, right?
The word proscenium sounds vaguely vulgar... like maybe it refers to the area of abdomen right above the genitals.
Jeff Mills...funniest post I've read in a long time. I'm sitting at work, stifling my laughter. Good on ya
Personally, I'd be chasing down catwoman for a private showing. That's probably why I'll never make it to the Vatican.
Particularly enjoyed the bottled water bros and Tim and Eric reference. They are salaciously hilarious. Vatican has become something like a modern day Mordor to me
Now you say something
