Here are this year's SAG Award nominees

Still have a bad taste left in your mouth from the Golden Globes? Luckily for you, we now have the list of nominees for the 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards, an event which rewards the exhilarating, hilarious, and affecting performances that... sorry, what's that? Oh, Hot In Cleveland nominated for Outstanding Performance By an Ensemble In a Comedy Series? Okay, you can disregard what I was saying.

(But seriously, for an award show that focuses on the strength of an entire cast, how could they disregard Community? I understand we all love Betty White, but she was on that show once! There's no justice, I tell you.)

Here is the full list:

Besides that Community snub, there's not too much I object to here; some nominations (like Chris Colfer's) are actually pleasant surprises. How do you think the Screen Actors Guild's choices stand up against the Golden Globes?

Party Down!?

Sadly, explainerguy, I had already given up on any sort of large-scale recognition of the greatness of Party Down. But you're right -- another exceptionally strong ensemble comedy overlooked.

Does Boardwalk Empire knock off Mad Men this year?

bearman33 commented on Dec 16 10 at 4:27 pm

I really don't understand the hype for jesse eisenburg. how was his performance in the social network different from zombieland or adventureland or pretty much any movie he's ever been in?
also how did tru grit not get a cast nomination??

I don't think so, bearman. I haven't seen it, but I've heard that it can be inconsistent. That could just be people on the Internet, though. Still, I think Mad Men has enough good press about the last season that it can secure another win, if not every award, at least for some.
