Winona Ryder tells Elle, "I don't use the Internet"

Winona Ryder in Elle.

In a confession that does little to dissociate her with the 1990s, Winona Ryder told Elle, "I don't use the Internet." To prove that she is at least aware of the medium, she also said, "But I hear you can find out everything on it."

She later added,"I've never read a blog, ever."

As much as I love the fact that somebody once said to Ryder, "You can find out anything on the Internet," it's a shame that the dutiful Brazilian who runs Winona-Ryder.org — "your #01 stop source dedicated to [the] american [sic] actress" — will continue to work without her subject's regard.

So what does this mean for you? Well, the good news is that you can do whatever you want to the Reality Bites star's Wikipedia entry. The bad news, however, is that the fourteen-year-old boy you met on Yahoo! Chat has been lying to you about being Winona Ryder.

Incidentally, the internet seems barely aware of Ryder's existence as well.

Winona and Jennifer in the same movie? Now that's hot!

That is just not cool on so many levels Ryder!

Thanks for the link, and the mention. It will really cool if Winona knew about the website existence. But, she doesn't, and I'm still happy to work on it. It's, of course, a tribute for the actress, but a point where fans can chat, find pictures, know a little more about her. Now you can find interviews all around and it's great, but there was a time (before Star Trek) which non Winona fans doesn't even knew she was still working. Until visit Winona-Ryder.org. :)

Yeah well I don't watch movies or TV at all, so we're even. This blog is the only exposure to this actress I'll have, likely for the next several years.
