Watch: Amy Winehouse booed in Serbia, cancels European tour dates

Winehouse attempted her zillionth comeback concert in Belgrade, Serbia to disastrous results. She took the stage an hour late, stumbled around, slurred lyrics to the point of incoherence and at one point threw her shoe into the audience. Footage from most of the show is on YouTube, but it's incredibly uncomfortable to watch. Just try making it through the one song we posted.
This performance has forced Winehouse to cancel a handful of upcoming European festival dates, though she's still set to perform in Spain on July 8th, so we'll see if she goes through with that. The whole debacle is really sad, considering she just finished up a stint in uh, rehab, at the Priory Clinic in London earlier this month.

Why anyone gives a fuck about her is beyond me. Talentless dreck whose sole claim to fame is her trainwreck of a life.

Agreed, AT. Winehouse is deeply talented. Really awful to watch each attempt at sobriety unravel. I keep hoping she'll prevail and make another great record.

Yep. She belts out songs with the kind of soul that only comes from someone who is barely treading water in life. Sad to see her totally fall apart.
as non-PC my comment is, I need to say that: she looks mentally challenged.
Amy is currently the greatest living singer hands down. (The others that come to mind: Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday) There is no one in America that holds a match next to her. People like Whitney Houston and Celine Dion just replicated the songs exactly as they sound on the CD- they might as well just lip sync them. Amy gives you 'the moment'. She totally puts herself out there. Everything she feels goes into her shows. Unfortunately like any truly great artist she's sometimes a little too transparent and a little more comes out than just the bare song. The audience need to understand that it's all part of the performance. If they want to hear the CD, they can download them on Itunes.
While I completely agree with you that she is a talented artist which also CAN translate into her live shows, this performance was not an example of this. maybe some people really can give great shows while on some type of substance but from this video, she at the moment, clearly cannot. so yeah this was totally in the moment, but if it obviously looks like SHE'S not in the moment, something's wrong. we caught her in "a moment" but it really wasn't when her best foot was forward. i'm all for people trying their best but, if your best is that, i'm all for that person getting a lil' extra help. especially if their job is as a performer.
Messing with the weave just makes it worse...oh god, terrible, sad and pitiful.
The first time I saw her I was bewitched. She had such a unique, powerful presence. She is absolutely talented. But she's clearly in some real distress now. It IS painful and sad. I hope there is someone in her life that can legitimately help her. Not such fame leech.
