So who would have expected that after releasing My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, an album many are calling the best of the year, Kanye West would come out with a Christmas song? For someone with a soon-to-be-released video featuring necrophilia and a roomful of murdered models, Kanye's given us something surprisingly cheerful in the middle of this holiday season.

There's still a bunch of sexual innuendo — this is the man who managed to use Snakes On a Plane as a request for a blowjob. And it does raise the question: is Santa Claus secretly a Crip? But still, yay Christmas.

How do you think it rates on the spectrum of other Christmas-themed songs from pop stars? This is pretty good, but I don't know if anything can beat the sublime cheese that is Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You."
