Watch: Spike Jonze and The Arcade Fire collaborate on a short film

Spike Jonze and Arcade Fire's creatively titled short film, Scenes from the Suburbs, premieres this coming weekend at the Berlin Film Festival, accompanying their critically adored album of last year, The Suburbs. The video from the lead single of the same name, it turns out, was composed of scenes from the coming short and serves as a well-scored trailer for the movies.

Jonze, Win Butler, and Will Butler wrote the film together; from the looks of said trailer, it's going to continue Jonze's streak of showing kids do really dark, weird things. Hopefully, this effort matches the splendor of the music that it's based on.
