There's a lot we can say about Bristol Palin, but let's not. Let's just focus on the news that the Lifetime channel has purchased a ten-episode run of a new docu-series, starring Sarah Palin's oldest daughter, called Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp. And yes, that's a pun. The show will follow Bristol's post-Dancing with the Stars exploits(?) back in her native Alaska with three-year-old son Tripp, boyfriend "Gino" Paoletti (of Refrigeration Unlimited), and the rest of the lovable Palin clan.

Said Lifetime Networks exec Rob Sharenow:

"From the first moment she was thrust into the public eye, Bristol and her son have been the subjects of a huge amount of curiosity and misunderstanding. This show will reveal the real Bristol Palin and her journey as a daughter, a mother, and a young woman making her way in the world."

I couldn't have said it any more Lifetime-y myself.

You may recall that Bristol previously filmed an L.A.-based reality show, along with DWTS castmate Kyle Massey, for A&E's BIO channel, which never saw the light of TV, having been quietly put to sleep by the network after apparently coming to its senses. That looked like maybe the end of Bristol's fifteen minutes, but no, with the new Lifetime deal we're reminded that those Palins just keep coming on like zombies.

The twenty-one-year-old Palin has overcome many challenges in her brief life. You can read all about it in her book, Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far (with Nancy French). After her L.A. trials, Bristol had an epiphany. She said, "I wasn't really into the Hollywood thing. After that, I just realized that I was over it. I was ready to come home."

No word on whether Tripp's father, Bristol's former, likely-wine-cooler-procuring love interest, Levi Johnston, will be appearing on the new show, but my guess is no, after Bristol reported that "he's not using his visitation, and he's not paying his child support."
