A video of a twenty-three-year-old Steve Jobs being prepped before one of his very first TV appearances, possibly on San Francisco's KGO-TV, has been making the rounds of tech blogs today, and it shows a much-less-self-assured Jobs than the Apple titan we're familiar with today. He seems amazed, amusing in retrospect, that the live national feed is to reach New York households. At the end of the clip, he says that he's "deathly ill" and "ready to throw up at any moment." The kid was definitely going places, no doubt about that.

This was so compelling. He has single handedly changed media around the world, probably the most important living American for historical purposes.
