Zach Galifianakis smoked a joint on live television

Zach Galifianakis was on Real Time With Bill Maher on Friday night, the star guest on the most underappreciated political show on TV. Since Real Time is broadcast live, Galifianakis knew that he'd be able to get away with a huge television coup in support of Proposition 19, the latest attempt to legalize, control, and tax marijuana in California.

In the below clip, watch Zach G. blaze up a spliff without warning and pass it around the circle. Oh, how we wish longtime Maher guest Christine O'Donnell had been on the show this week.

Before you say that it was all a stunt, I should add that a) the reaction from the other guests seems 100% genuine, which would not happen if it didn't smell like weed in there and b) Galifianakis doesn't do "stunts." The end.

As another guest notes, the bill's big problem is it isn't supported by all the members of the marijuana community since they are making so much money off of their own (illegal) grow operations.
