Nikki Sixx at Harvard.

Once a member of Mötley Crüe, always a member of Mötley Crüe. That's what my mother used to say to me as a child, and it turns out she was right all along; Nikki Sixx, perhaps Crüe's most motley member (fine, that doesn't make sense, whatever), is still up to no good.

Is he hotwiring cars? Partying with prostitutes? Selling pills that allow people to use 100% of their brains on the black market?

No, it's worse than all that: Nikki Sixx is posting naked pictures of people on Facebook.

To publicize the release of This Is Gonna Hurt: Music, Photography and Life Through the Distorted Lens of Nikki Sixx, his forthcoming photo-memoir, the rocker's been posting sample pictures on his Facebook — and Facebook has been swiftly removing them.

"I started by posting one of the photos from my book, it was actually an outtake — a way to give fans something that won't be in the book. It was this girl Farah — she's about 350 pounds and she saw her mother kill herself and was put out on the streets for prostitution and she ended up doing pornography. I was looking for a woman that would pose nude that was extremely overweight — there's a bunch of messages behind that.

So I posted this nude picture of her and it was deleted by Facebook. And I went, 'Oh,you can't put art on Facebook?' So then I posted another photo that I shot of a guy who's transgender[ed]. So he had breasts, but he's still a guy."

The still-a-guy picture, too, was removed by Facebook. And that wasn't even close to the end of it:

"I posted... another one of my photographs of a girl who has had half her face burned off, and it was also deleted saying 'Final notice — you can't post any more of your photos.' I looked around Facebook and I see half-naked teenagers, and stuff way worse than my stuff. ... So, eventually, I just thought this was so ridiculous and I posted half-naked pictures of myself and nobody's complained."

Well, surely not nobody, but we get his point. Anyway, so that's what former Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx has been up to: fighting with the management at a social-networking site. Rock and roll!
