...we might actually start watching a soap opera about-- snort... snicker, snicker-- vampires.
Okay, okay, it's not a soap opera, but we're still not convinced this show will be any good. (In my mind, just because you're addicted to a show doesn't mean the show is necessarily quality entertainment and for a mass audience. I mean, look at Weeds, the only show we check out every week on schedule-- it's in our blood to keep watching it, although, these days, we only tune in because Mary-Louise Parker is hot, Justin Kirk is hilarious, and Kevin Nealon is a scene stealing master that we tune in... not because we're blown away by the writing or anything we're not ashamed of.)

This script can be so cheesy. Sometimes I cringe at the dialogue and a lot of the acting is really bad. Why do I watch this? Oh yeah, it's because Anna Paquin is mesmerizing and brilliant. She redeems all of this show's tackiness with a single southern drawl line or with a sweet jack-o-lantern smile. She's flawed and off-beat and totolly interesting. Shit, I'm gushing. And I couldn't be happier that I got to see her naked.
Oh it's totally overboard and ridiculous. I like how she went from virgin to vampire-cock-hungry maniac in the course of a couple of weeks though. Nice job there, fanger.
