Video: Kim Kardashian Is A Poor Padma Replacement, Carl's Jr.
By Drew GrantDecember 22nd, 2009, 9:30 amComments (7)Fact: Nobody in the world eats Carl Jr.'s as their first resort for fast food. It goes: McDonald's/Burger King, then White Castle/Wendy's/Taco Bell/KCF/Popeye's/Roy Roger's, maybe In & Out if you're on the West Coast, then that place with the happy star as their logo, Arby's, and then you get Carl's Jr. I don't care how many beautiful women you show eating your food, it's just going to happen. And while Padma Lakshmi may have been a good, if futile choice, for your original sexy food campaign since she's on a cooking show and is very, very attractive, Kim Kardashian is neither of those things. Nor do we believe any of the Kardashian sisters got those badonkadonks by eating fast food salads. It just doesn't make sense.
Even more nonsensical? The "outakes" and "behind the scenes" of this commercial series below. Because in addition to movies and photoshoots, food commercials also need to show their audiences the garbage usually left on the cutting room floor these days.
Oh my god what is this, why do we need to see a "Making Of" a Carl's Jr. salad commercial? Paaaadma, we want you back!

Dude, what world do you live in that McDonald's is first and Carl's is last? I eat both, but I usually end up at McDonald's because it's the only thing around; I live in LA, but In N Outs are few and far between, so it's usually down to Burger King and Carl's for a real burger. White Castle NEVER tastes good unless you're stoned or drunk and Wendy's is just heartburn waiting to happen. Dude, your taste is burgers is FUCKED UP!
Hardee's (the happy star place) and Carl's Jr. are the same thing.
Have to agree with Jeff on this one. I don't understand how anyone can take two bites of a White Castle burger or even go into McDonald's for anything other than tater tots.
Carl's Jr. IS the place with the smiley star logo. They ate Hardee's.
Oops. Katie got in while I was still purging from the imagery.
McDonald's is the last burger place I'd pick. Wendy's is the best of the Big Three, then Burger King. But if you're in the Northeast near a Five Guys, it blow them all away. And agree with Jeff that one can only eat White Castles when extremely wasted.
Dude, seriously, $6 Burger is the best quality burger on the market. That ordering is silly.
